Job summary

Arvato is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager for our Louisville, Kentucky facility. You will lead proactive and preventive maintenance across the site, coordinating with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment efficiency while meeting safety and budget targets.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in facilities leadership, a BS in engineering (or equivalent), and proven supervision experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar.
• Experience supervising others and coordinating multiple vendors.
• Ability to work long hours in a non-climate-controlled facility.
• Travel up to 10% of the time; shift may include evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise projects with supervisors, project engineers and technicians.
• Oversee vendors, negotiate to reduce overhead costs, and handle repairs.
• Lead improvements for equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain PM records and reduce equipment downtime.
• Support R&D on new products, processes or CAPEX projects.
• Develop equipment to meet production and layout requirements.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, robotics, and automation systems.
• Assist with selecting and fitting out new buildings as needed.

Job Description

Arvato is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead proactive and preventive facility maintenance across our facility in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be able to leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management and work cross-functionally to maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements.

YOUR TASKS

• Supervise, guide, and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers, and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance, and special projects of all machinery and equipment
• Be responsible for overseeing all vendors on property, negotiating with vendors to reduce overhead costs, and any facility-related repairs and general upkeep
• Delegate work projects for the improvement of the efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operations
• Maintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing the downtime of equipment
• Assist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes, or CAPEX projects
• Develop and modify equipment to meet the department’s production, quality, or layout requirements
• Vendors include, but not limited to, housekeeping, recycling, trash, and miscellaneous day-to-day requirements
• Assist in new building selection and fit out to meet Arvato specifications
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex conveyor, robotics, and automation systems
• Ability to support and troubleshoot WCS and PLC's

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience
• Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience supervising others
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Must be able to work long hours, including overtime if needed
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Work shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 5:30 pm; weekends and nights are required if there are issues/outages
