Job summary
USPL in North Brunswick, NJ, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement field projects, procure/install new equipment, and troubleshoot packaging lines. You will work under the Plant Engineer and Engineering Manager, coordinating contractors and guiding the maintenance and facilities team on new and existing projects.
This role requires PLC-based instrumentation expertise, strong preventive maintenance knowledge, and experience reading engineering drawings.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- 5+ years of building engineering/maintenance experience.
- Trained and knowledgeable about PLC based instrumentation and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the reliability of assets by implementing proactive maintenance strategies.
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment to decrease downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and production teams for improvement.
- Review drawings and blueprints and provide feedback to Engineering management.
- Work safely and comply with training requirements and policies.
