Job summary

USPL is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead field projects from concept to installation, diagnose equipment failures using PLCs, and coordinate with the maintenance and facilities teams at our North Brunswick, NJ site.

The role requires a BS/MS in engineering and 5+ years in building engineering/maintenance, with preferred pharma/nutraceutical experience. Candidate will review drawings, manage safety compliance, and drive improvements in equipment and facilities performance.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years in building engineering/maintenance; pharma/nutraceutical experience is a plus.
• Trained and knowledgeable about PLC based instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the reliability of assets by implementing proactive maintenance strategies.
• Evaluates equipment breakdowns and documents corrective actions.
• Performs electrical and mechanical repairs to reduce downtime.
• Assists with equipment evaluation to improve performance or add new equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and production to improve efficiency.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of project elements and engineering activities.
• Review blueprints and plans from external agencies and provide feedback to management.
• Maintain a safe, incident-free workplace and comply with safety requirements.
