Opal Key Resort & Marina in Key West, FL is seeking a Maintenance Engineer responsible for upkeep, repairs, and responding to guest maintenance requests. The role requires hands-on technical skills and a proactive approach.

You will work across painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool and spa systems, troubleshoot equipment, and help maintain inventory. A high school diploma and at least two years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Extremely organized with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks across trades (painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool & spa minor repairs).
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment or appliances.
• Inspect property and note items in need of attention.
• Respond to guest room maintenance calls promptly.
• Keep maintenance storage areas neat and manage inventory.
• Participate in inventory control processes.
