Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Maintenance Engineer I (Full Time) to assist in keeping the hospital's physical structure and building systems in good repair. This role supports routine operation, inspection, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related equipment.

You will work under pressure to meet deadlines, document work in the CMMS, and communicate with team members to ensure safe, reliable hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of building systems.
• Ability to use CMMS, radio, email, PDA, and other communication tools to track work.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/safety systems.
• Must meet licensure and safety certification requirements within set timeframes.

Supports routine operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/life safety, patient care equipment, security hardware, and related systems. Maintains accurate CMMS documentation and communicates effectively with team members to support safe and reliable hospital operations.Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Must comply with all Benefis Health system organization policies and procedures.**Education/License/Experience Requirements:*** High School diploma or equivalent* Minimum of one (1) year of building systems knowledge in a hospital or commercial facility environment.* Third (3rd) Class Boilers License or obtain one within one (1) year of hire or transfer.* Certified in Forklift and Bobcat required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.* Certified in **LOTO** and required PPE required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.* Montana DEQ Underground Storage Tank Class C Operator required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.* Experience with basic operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and/or preventive maintenance of building systems, which may include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/life safety, and related equipment.* Ability to use CMMS, radio, email, PDA, and communication tools to manage assignments and document work.**Exemption Wage**Non-Exempt**Starting Wage**$22.77/hourly### *Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience*
