Job summary

Benefis Health System in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Maintenance Engineer I (Full Time) to assist in keeping the hospital's physical structure and building systems in good repair. This role supports routine operation, inspection, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related equipment.

You will work under pressure to meet deadlines, document work in the CMMS, and communicate with team members to ensure safe, reliable hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of building systems.
• Ability to use CMMS, radio, email, PDA, and other communication tools to track work.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/safety systems.
• Must meet licensure and safety certification requirements within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in keeping hospital building and systems in good repair.
• Perform routine operations, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate CMMS documentation and communicate with the team.
• Adhere to license rules and organization policies; follow assigned tasks.
