Job summary

Bitterroot Health in Hamilton, MT is seeking a Maintenance Engineer I to keep facilities, equipment, and grounds in good repair. Responsibilities span carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and general handyman work across all hospital locations.

Hours may include weekends and evenings, with participation in the on-call rotation. Full-time role with eligibility for the full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Montana driver's license.
• At least 3 years of experience in carpentry, painting, groundskeeping/landscaping, general handyman or flooring.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to keep structures, equipment, and grounds in good repair, safe, and visually appealing.
• Carry out tasks across carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and mechanical installation/repair as needed.
• Assist in snowplowing and other seasonal duties when required.
• Coordinate with departments to address repair requests and safety concerns.

Maintenance Engineer I opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Maintenance Engineer I position. This position performs duties necessary to ensure the physical structures, appropriate equipment and grounds within all MDMH locations are in good repair, safe and visually appealing. The areas of involvement may include carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, snowplowing, and mechanical installation/repair.

Hours for this position may include weekends and evenings. Participation in the On-call rotation is required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, General equivalency diploma (GED).
• Valid Montana Driver's License.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Groundskeeping/Landscaping
• General Handyman
• Flooring

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours/week with call
