Job summary

Benefis Health System in Montana seeks a maintenance technician to keep hospital building systems and equipment in reliable condition. You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, using CMMS and standard tools.

Responsibilities include documenting work in CMMS, coordinating with team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Benefis policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year building systems knowledge in hospital or commercial facility.
• 3rd Class Boilers License or obtain within 1 year of hire or transfer.
• Forklift and Bobcat certification within six months of hire or transfer.
• LOTO and PPE certifications within six months of hire or transfer.
• Montana DEQ Underground Storage Tank Class C Operator within six months of hire or transfer.
• Experience with basic operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and/or preventive maintenance of building systems.
• CMMS, radio, email, PDA for work management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining hospital building systems and equipment.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS documentation and communicate with team.
• Ensure compliance with licensing boards and Benefis policies.
• Work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
