Job summary

B. F. Saul Company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs of building systems and equipment in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

You will report to the Chief Engineer and may oversee projects as assigned by the Lead Engineer, ensuring safety policies are followed. The role requires hands-on maintenance across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVACR disciplines with focus on reliability, documentation, and timely communication with

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred or with equivalent combination training and experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the building maintenance field.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to properties in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of Maintenance Engineering disciplines in daily functions (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVACR).
• Cleans coils, changes air filters to HVAC equipment, and lubricates motors and bearings.
• Monitors temperature and humidity of occupied areas throughout the facility.
• Checks the operation of all mechanical equipment daily and maintains electrical controls; performs repairs as needed.
• Document daily activities in the engineers' logbook and notify supervisor on leaving the property.
