Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to improve asset reliability and drive operational excellence at our Louisville plant. You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, develop repair plans, and implement effective solutions.

You’ll lead preventive maintenance strategies, support turnaround planning, and help train maintenance crafts to ensure safe, reliable plant performance, while upholding safety and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment systems, maintenance practices, troubleshooting methodologies, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, equipment drawings, and technical documentation.
• Effective collaboration, communication, and problem-solving across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for equipment failures and root cause investigations to improve asset reliability.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technologists and Operations to troubleshoot issues and implement repair plans.
• Provide guidance on equipment performance, materials of construction, tolerances, and maintenance standards.
• Support critical equipment repairs with engineering review and oversight in work requests and plans.
• Develop and improve maintenance procedures, repair methods, and training materials.
• Support preventive maintenance and spare parts strategies to maximize uptime.
• Work with Reliability Engineers, Planners, and Operations to develop long-term asset strategies.
• Review feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support for turnaround planning, contractor work, and QA of repairs.
• Train maintenance crafts and operations personnel to build technical capability.
