Zusammenfassung

Velociti Services is seeking an experienced Building Engineer to maintain and optimize HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems in commercial real estate environments. The role requires hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination with vendors.

The engineer will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and execute repairs across mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems, while supporting on-site operations and on-call rotations.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years in operations maintenance or similar building engineering roles
• EPA Certification required
• High school diploma or vocational/trade school
• HVAC system experience
• Strong knowledge of work order control procedures
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or similar tools
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Aufgaben

• Drive optimization of facility for clients, customers and staff in a safe operating condition and perform preventive and reactive maintenance
• Regularly inspect and perform preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of equipment and infrastructure
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failed equipment and components

• Conduct locksmith tasks and manage key security
• Lead or participate in special projects to improve building operations and efficiencies
• HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Electrical work including re-lamping and breaker resets
• Plumbing fixture repairs and restroom maintenance
• Inspect and maintain café/kitchen equipment
• Maintain elevators, fire life safety devices, and UPSs
• Repair access and overhead doors; obtain estimates from outside vendors
• Handle customer complaints professionally and timely
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

Hours: 6:30am to 3pm Monday- Friday

Must have real id

An Engineer at Velociti Servicves performs preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial real estate building machinery and large building systems such as mechanical, electric, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Air Handlers, Boilers, Air Handler Units, and other building systems in order to ensure optimal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive optimization of facility for clients, customers, and staff in a safe operating condition; conduct preventative and reactive maintenance; and resolve immediate operational and building safety concerns.
• Regularly inspect and conduct preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of all the building's equipment and overall operational infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failed equipment and/or non-functioning components, belts, filters, etc.
• Coordinate efforts with vendors and/or third parties for the most complex repairs or for services under warranty and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct various locksmith tasks and/or the management of key security.
• Participate in and/or may lead special projects related to the improvement of building operations and efficiencies.
• HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Electrical work including re-lamping, ballast replacement and breaker reset
• Plumbing fixture repairs, drain maintenance, and restroom preventative maintenance
• Perform Inspection and Maintenance of café/kitchen equipment
• Manage and support maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, and UPSs
• Access Door and Overhead Door repair/adjustment, as required
• Obtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendors
• Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working on HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of work order control procedures.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or similar tools.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone)
• Must possess valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines
• Work independently and as part of a team, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/ or carry minimum 50 pounds
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl daily
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
• Must participate in On-Call rotation schedule as assigned
