La Quinta by Wyndham Vancouver, WA is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform daily repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of the hotel interior and exterior. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a background in basic construction, HVAC, or general building upkeep, focused on guest satisfaction and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required OR 5 years related experience and/ or training.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledgable of basic repair and maintenance skills including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking, and blueprint reading.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility including physical building structure, grounds, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Preventative maintenance and repair of the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems and equipment, and for the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility, FF&E, grounds, swimming pool, etc.
• Monitor life safety systems and utilities and administer the department on compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and associates.
• Other duties as assigned
