Job summary

Glendale Express Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform installation, repair, upkeep, and daily maintenance of hotel facilities.

You will ensure safety compliance, respond to service requests, and support daily operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards and follow company safety policies.
• Maintain professionalism with colleagues, contractors and customers.
• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep.
• Respond to customer service requests per company policy.
• Handle service requests including lighting, plumbing, electrical, and door/lock repairs.
• Repair electrical outlets, switches, sensors, lamps, and fixtures.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, faucets, valves, water heaters, and piping.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, ceiling tile/grid repair, wallpaper and flooring touch-ups.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems as directed.
• Assist with installation, replacement, or repair of building equipment as directed.
• Conduct fire pump and emergency generator tests as required.
• Test and report on water treatment results to supervisor.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for malfunctioning equipment and safety hazards.
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues and customer concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Complete other facility maintenance duties as assigned.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Engineer performs installation, repair, upkeep, and day to day general maintenance of hotel facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain professionalism at all times with co-workers, contractors and customers.
• Assist team with overall daily operations, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance requirements of building
• Respond, prioritize, complete, and follow-up on customer service requests per Company policy
• Responsible for all service requests including: lighting, restroom/kitchen plumbing, minor electrical, ceiling tiles, door/lock repair
• Perform repair and replace electrical receptacles, switches, sensors, lamps, ballasts, and fixtures
• Perform repair and replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, valves, water heaters, and piping
• Perform the following building general maintenance tasks as required: minor carpentry, painting, drywall repair, ceiling tiles/grid repair/replacement, wallpaper repair, flooring/base repair, minor concrete repair, etc.
• Perform or assist with preventive maintenance of building equipment/systems as directed.
• Perform or assist with installation replacement or repair of building equipment/systems as directed
• Perform fire pump(s) and/or emergency generator(s) tests as required
• Understand and perform water treatment testing and report results to supervisor
• Inspect buildings and grounds for malfunctioning equipment, building issues and unsafe conditions
• Report all known safety hazards, equipment issues and customer concerns
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
• Complete other facility maintenance duties as assigned
• Respond quickly to emergency situations

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow directions and training, but work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
• Customer service skills, decision making/problem solving skills, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, and/or push up to 50 pounds without assistance Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, repetitive bending, and other physical activities
