Job summary

La Quinta by Wyndham Vancouver, WA is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform daily repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of the hotel interior and exterior. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a background in basic construction, HVAC, or general building upkeep, focused on guest satisfaction and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required OR 5 years related experience and/ or training.
Hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledgable of basic repair and maintenance skills including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking, and blueprint reading.
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facility including physical building structure, grounds, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment.
Preventative maintenance and repair of the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems and equipment, and for the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility, FF&E, grounds, swimming pool, etc.
Monitor life safety systems and utilities and administer the department on compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and associates.
