Qualifications

• On-call approximately every five weeks with local travel within Birmingham metro area.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and building upkeep; complete maintenance and repair records.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Utilize MS Office and mobile work order system for tasks and emails.
• Read blueprints and interpret technical diagrams as needed.
• Take ownership, stay flexible, and provide a positive, welcoming impression.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders; be a team player.
• On-call duties and travel within Birmingham metro area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Minimum ofFive (5)years’ experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches and life safety systems.
• Performs assigned repairs; building upkeep duties as needed (periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed); emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Uses personal computer andsmart phone for work order system and email.
• Position requires excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to read blueprints.
• Takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression.
• Must be self-sufficient, team player. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.
• On-call approximately every five weeks, travel to buildings within Birmingham metropolitan area.
