Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust Inc. is seeking an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in the Frisco/Plano area. The role requires hands-on maintenance and strong mechanical aptitude.

You must have at least five years in facilities maintenance, familiarity with BAS, electrical and HVAC systems, and the ability to read blueprints. On-call rotation and local travel within the Plano/Frisco area are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of Building Automation Systems and electrical systems.
• Experience with HVAC systems including rooftop units and VAV.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform repairs.
• On-call rotation and travel within Plano/Frisco area.
• Licensure or trade certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems in medical office properties.
• Operate and maintain BAS, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
• Complete work orders timely and document activities.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Maintain records and communicate with property staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches and life safety systems. Performs assigned repairs; building upkeep duties as needed (periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed); emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner. Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Uses personal computer and smart phone for work order system and email. Position requires excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to read blueprints. Takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression. Must be self-sufficient, team player. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.

On-call approximately every five weeks, travel to buildings within Plano / Frisco metropolitan area.
