Job summary

Nestlé Crete plant in Nebraska is seeking an experienced Electrician to maintain all plant systems, from facilities to processing and warehouse operations. You will focus on machine reliability and process improvements while performing predictive and preventative maintenance.

The role offers weekly pay, shift differential, overtime, and a strong benefits package including health, 401k match, and pension, with opportunities for advancement through additional training and certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ year electrician experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Optionally a 2-year technical degree.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter, and megger
• Proper PPE usage in MCC rooms
• Install sensors
• Install, tune, and maintain switch gear and control wiring

Hourly pay starting at $31.68 / hour with opportunities for increase up to $38.02 / hour through additional training / certifications.

As an Electrician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. While keeping safety top of mine, you’ll play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant by troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical equipment. Our electricians’ work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Effectively use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter, and megger
• Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms
• Installation of sensors
• Install, fine-tune, and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems
• Service and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.

Requirements

• 1+ years of electrician experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree.

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends
