Job summary

Nestlé USA’s Atlanta-area facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician Class C (Multi-Craft) to support all plant systems. You will service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation equipment and work on predictive maintenance projects to improve reliability and efficiency.

Requirements include 1+ years of maintenance experience or a 2-year technical degree, with availability for night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments or 2-year technical degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls including motors and PLCs.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters and megohmmeters.
• Repair gear reducers, conveyors, packaging equipment.
• Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.
• Perform predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sampling.

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. Home to one of our largest solar projects yet, the 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system of nearly 1,900 panels that powers the facility produces enough energy annually to power nearly 52 average-sized homes, or approximately 5,000 lights bulbs for an entire year. With sustainability and safety always top of mind, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE® and Pro Plan®. This plant location is just along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta—an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations.You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

Must be open to working all shifts

• Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
• Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
• Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs
• Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2 -year technical degree completed

Other

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
• Must be open to working all shifts

Pay: $36.31 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
