Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Maintenance Electrician-Mechanic for our Elk Grove Village, IL facility. The role focuses on electrical troubleshooting, preventative and predictive maintenance, and repair of high-speed production equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical/electrical skills, ability to read blueprints, operate CMMS, and work with PLCs. Overtime and shift work are expected as needed, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must have working knowledge of basic mechanical fundamentals.
• Perform tasks per instructions.
• Work well without supervision when needed.

Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting, installing and repairing all electrical devices within the plant.
• Performing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance on all production equipment, utilities, building/grounds.
• Completing parts requisitions, work orders, time sheets, in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Mechanical troubleshooting, replace, repair and rebuild equipment in a timely manner.
• Responsible for equipment and building within both Elk Grove and Westfield facilities.
• Working independently and on teams.
• Demonstrating safe work practices.
• Use PLCs for routine troubleshooting.
• Understand and complete all associated paperwork.
• Adhere to preventative/predictive maintenance schedules.
• Read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Plant shutdown/startups for Holidays.
