Job summary

Shape Corp. in the Dayton/Cincinnati area is seeking a skilled Electrician for a 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:20pm) to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical machinery in a new aluminum center of excellence. The position offers a $3.00 off-shift incentive, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and quarterly bonuses.

The Electrician will maintain PLC-controlled equipment, assist with maintenance procedures, and mentor apprentices while driving improvements to production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and installation of electrical components in a manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
• Experience with automated equipment and related safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, build, troubleshoot and repair machinery with PLC control.
• Support manufacturing through maintenance of electrical components and equipment.
• Proactively assist in continuous improvement to boost efficiency and quality.
• Complete and manage work orders in the Plex system.
• Mentor apprentices and coach junior technicians as needed.
• Advanced troubleshooting of PLCs, VFDs and welders.

We are looking for highly talented Electrician to support our brand new facility.

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:20pm (includes $3.00 off-shift incentive)

Pay: $32-$40 / hour + $3.00 shift incentive

Bonus: $2,000 Sign on bonus + eligible for quarterly bonuses

Position Summary: The Electrician will be responsible to install, build, troubleshoot, and repair machinery containing electrical componentry. Provide support for the manufacturing of quality products through maintenance and installation of electrical components and equipment.

• Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair machinery.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
• Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running.
• Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested.
• Advanced troubleshooting of both equipment and systems. For example, PLC troubleshooting, variable frequency drives, induction welders, mid-freq welders, etc.
