Job summary

Shape is seeking a skilled Electrician for our new aluminum center of excellence in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. The position is on second shift (3:00pm–11:20pm) with a $3 off-shift incentive and a $2,000 sign-on bonus plus eligibility for quarterly bonuses.

The Electrician will install, troubleshoot, and repair machinery with electrical components, supporting the manufacturing of quality products and maintenance of equipment. Ohio licensing and advanced PLC skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Ohio State Electrician's License preferred; Master Electrician Certificate preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Allen Bradley Proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, build, troubleshoot and repair machinery with electrical components.
• Support manufacturing by maintaining and installing electrical systems.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Complete and manage work orders via Plex system.

We are looking for highly talented Electrician to support our brand new facility.

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:20pm (includes $3.00 off-shift incentive)

Pay: $32-$40 / hour + $3.00 shift incentive

Bonus: $2,000 Sign on bonus + eligible for quarterly bonuses

Position Summary:

The Electrician will be responsible to install, build, troubleshoot, and repair machinery containing electrical componentry. Provide support for the manufacturing of quality products through maintenance and installation of electrical components and equipment.

• Work in a safe manner, providing constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders in order to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility.
• Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair machinery.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
• Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running.
• Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested.
• Advanced troubleshooting of both equipment and systems. For example, PLC troubleshooting, variable frequency drives, induction welders, mid-freq welders, etc.
• Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor.
