Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a global metals manufacturer renowned for reliability and innovation. You will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a broad range of industrial electrical systems and production equipment across our facility in Pleasant Valley Township, IA.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read electrical prints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain industrial electrical systems and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, controls, and instrumentation.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Respond to equipment downtime and minimize production loss.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical components and control systems.
• Support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and electrical compliance procedures.

Job Details

As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide variety of industrial electrical systems and production equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose issues with motors, drives, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, controls, and instrumentation
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Install, test, and maintain electrical components and control systems
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
• Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and process improvements
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and electrical compliance procedures
• Work closely with operations and mechanical maintenance teams to maximize equipment performance

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics

Highly Desired Experience:

• PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics
• VFD and motor control systems
• Automated production equipment
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge
