Job summary

Amsted Automotive seeks an experienced Maintenance Electrician for the 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM) in Belleville, MI to repair and maintain building systems, lathes, conveyors, CNCs, and other equipment. Requires reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, with strong problem solving, teamwork, and safety discipline. OT may be required; competitive benefits listed.

Qualifications

• Experience as maintenance electrician in manufacturing.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and safety procedures.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of building, lathes, and equipment throughout plant.
• Adjustments, repairs, or replacements on motors, controls, and other electrical equipment.
• Support the team goals of the assembly and press departments.
• Participate in press set-ups and lean improvements.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
• Perform PM tasks and document properly.
• Follow maintenance systems and work orders.

Description

Amsted Automotive Group, Cold Form & Finishing, business unit is seeking an experienced 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Maintenance Electrician to meet production requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Repair and Maintenance of building, lathes, and equipment throughout plant.
• Perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements on motors, controls, and other electric equipment.
• Responsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly, and press departments.
• Responsible for participation in press set‑ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement of press set‑up time.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices.
• Responsible for all PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment.
• Required to follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in the work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedures, and work order procedures.
• Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
• Active participant in the Elimination of Waste.
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Knowledge of lathes, conveyors, CNCs, washers, assembly machines, various automation and related machinery
• Knowledge of pneumatics, lubrication, and hydraulics circuits
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and diagrams
• Must be able to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Knowledge and familiarity of NFP70E.
