Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive division in Shelby Twp seeks experienced Maintenance Technicians for the afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) with a 15% shift premium. You will maintain manufacturing equipment, facilities, and support presses, with safety and lean initiatives integral to daily work.

Responsibilities include PM tasks, corrective actions, and documentation. OT may be required. Join a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Technician with experience maintaining plant equipment and facilities.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Strong adherence to safety practices and lockout/tagout rules.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of building, presses, and equipment throughout plant.
• Operate forklift and man lift as needed.
• Support team goals of assembly and press departments.
• Participate in press set-ups and lean improvements.
• Follow maintenance systems and document work instructions.
• Handle wastewater duties after training.
• Support the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors; promote lean principles.
• Join Elimination of Waste Team meetings and company objectives.

About The Role

Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive division in Shelby Twp is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians who will be responsible for manufacturing equipment maintenance and facility maintenance on our afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) + 15% shift premium.

What You’ll Do

• Repair and Maintenance of building, presses, and equipment throughout plant
• Operation of forklift and man lift
• Responsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly, and press departments
• Responsible for participation in press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement of press set-up time Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices
• Responsible for all PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment
• Required to follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in the work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedure, work order procedures
• Serves in the capacity of wastewater handler commensurate with completion training
• Other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Launch Reliability Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
• May receive direction from General Production Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
• Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives

What Else You'll Need To Know

• Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently
• Work may require extended periods of sitting standing, lifting, bending, stooping and performing repetitive motion tasks
• Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
• Must be able to work necessary overtime if required

Education Preferred

• High School or better
