Job summary
Pilgrim is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician for 1st shift to perform routine electrical and electronic repairs across the plant, including calibration of scales and preventive maintenance on weighing equipment.
The role requires basic PLC knowledge, ability to read schematics, and strong electrical safety practices. You will support installation work, conduit runs, and wire pulls, with basic network cabling and camera system familiarity.
Qualifications
- Electrical safety procedures including LO TO and arc flash safety
- Able to use a multimeter and/or megger for troubleshooting
- Understanding of 3-phase power circuits (480, 240, 208 VAC)
- Understanding of 277 VAC lighting systems
- Troubleshooting of 120 VAC and 24 VDC control circuits
- Basic PLC knowledge preferred and able to read line diagrams, prints and/or schematics
Responsibilities
- Includes day to day repairs of electrical/electronic components on equipment across the plant
- Daily calibration checks of weighing equipment (scales) according to standards
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on scales and weighing equipment
- Basic troubleshooting of PLCs, instrumentation, VFDs, motor control circuits
- Support installation/replacement of equipment including running conduit and pulling wire
- Basic understanding of network cabling and video cameras
