Job summary

Huntington Hospital is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrical Journeyman to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital electrical systems, including power distribution and critical building controls. You will diagnose issues, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with safety and codes.

Responsibilities include maintaining nurse call, public address, fire alarm, BAS, and related systems while adapting to flexible scheduling and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of journeyman electrician experience.
• CA DIR journeyman certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital-owned electrical systems including power distribution, wiring, lighting, and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair nurse call, PA, fire alarm, and BAS components.
• Coordinate with facilities and safety teams; may work varying shifts including weekends.

Provides skilled repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and lighting controls, motor controls, and specialized hospital systems such as nurse call, public address, fire alarm, and building automation systems.
