Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Mendham, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Director to ensure safe, well-maintained surroundings for patients and residents. The role reports to the Nursing Home Administrator and oversees the maintenance department, including staff orientation and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities include repairing electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems, managing budgets, maintaining fire alarm and generator systems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Must have high school degree or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Provides overall supervision of the maintenance department; including orientation for new staff.
• Maintains fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents.
• Maintains required records and reports performs budget planning.
• Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
• Operates on the TELS platform for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks.
