Job summary

Hireology is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to manage maintenance functions within budget, ensuring a safe, clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure adherence to the maintenance manual.

Responsibilities include budgeting, equipment knowledge, safety program enforcement, coordination with staff and vendors, and training new personnel under the direction of the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• General knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems recommended.
• Additional certification/education regarding building codes, safety regulations, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems strongly recommended.
• Fair physical condition to perform tasks including lifting up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparation and control of supplies, equipment, repairs and personnel budgets.
• Assure a safe and sanitary environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Maintain positive public relations by displaying professionalism with residents, families, employees and the public.
• Perform and/or ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is completed per maintenance manual.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with staff, consultants and Executive Director as appropriate.
• Assist Executive Director in hiring and training of new staff.
• Participate in safety committees and follow-up on recommendations related to maintenance.
• Enforce the Safety Management Program manual requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections as outlined in the preventive maintenance section.
• Report accidents to the Executive Director and follow-up actions.
• Initiate and monitor required service contracts listed in supplier relations.
