Job summary

Hireology is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Director to oversee the safety, maintenance, and operation of our building, equipment, and grounds. The role focuses on keeping facilities compliant, safe, and well-maintained for residents and staff.

The position requires proven maintenance experience, a strong knowledge of Life Safety Regulations, and reliable attendance. You will supervise contractors, manage logs, and ensure timely responses to requests, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or healthcare setting.
• Strong working knowledge of Life Safety Regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, general repairs, and facility improvements.
• Maintain all aspects of the building, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural integrity.
• Ensure lawn and grounds are well-maintained and presentable at all times.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for major repairs or construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Codes and all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an organized system for documenting maintenance logs and inspections.
• Supervise and perform floor care tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
