Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Director of Maintenance for the Protein Conversion & Pet Food unit. The role directs maintenance teams across multiple sites, leads capital projects, and drives continuous improvement while staying within budget. Location flexibility includes Mt.

Pleasant, TX, and other Unit facilities. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of maintenance leadership experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing, excellent communication, and strong budgeting and coaching

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience in the poultry processing and/or food manufacturing is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Travel 50%-75%.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Implements and enforces Company safety policy.
• Process Management: Manages and drives the maintenance process across the business unit, ensuring procedures are executed efficiently.
• Team Building: Builds strong maintenance teams and ensures staff are trained and motivated.
• Corporate Goals Support: Aligns maintenance activities with corporate goals and business objectives.
• Process Execution and Measurement: Oversees maintenance processes and measures effectiveness.
• Budget Management: Manages the maintenance budget in line with goals.
• Coaching and Development: Coaches maintenance managers to grow their skills.
• Intermediary Role: Communicates between management and business unit leadership.
