Job summary

St. James Manor & Villas is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Director to lead maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping operations.

You will plan staffing, supervise daily activities, and ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained for residents and staff. Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, purchasing, and coordinating life safety inspections, with on-call availability 24/7 for emergencies and urgent repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance leadership for healthcare or similar settings.
• Knowledge of life safety, OSHA, and IDPH related to maintenance.
• Strong organizational and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire staff to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Schedule staff to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
• Manage purchasing and storage of housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
• Oversee life safety drills and inspections (fire, alarms, generators).
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies and repairs.
