The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, team members, and visitors through various maintenance duties.

Essential Duties:

• Inspect facility and equipment to determine needs and perform necessary repairs within the scope of normal practice.
• Assign maintenance, repair, or renovation duties to workers and obtain bids from outside contractors for additional work.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule to control costs and maintain records.
• Purchase supplies, machinery, equipment, and furniture; review and evaluate bids from contractors.
• Prepare evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Perform all maintenance functions inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree from a two-year college or vocational school; or five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
