Avalon Health Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Director for Yakima Valley Post Acute Care in Yakima, WA. You will oversee maintenance, safety, and operations to ensure reliable care environments for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Healthcare maintenance experience required; skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code standards and healthcare facility regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to respond to after-hours and weekend facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure building systems, grounds, and equipment remain safe and operational.
• Lead and support the maintenance team while coordinating daily priorities.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and facility improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with life safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
