Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department at a skilled nursing facility in Washington. The role focuses on keeping a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and Life Safety requirements, with healthcare or SNF experience preferred. This is a hands-on leadership position within a collaborative campus team.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance leadership experience in LTC/SNF environments.
• Knowledge of Life Safety regulations in healthcare facilities.
• Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

Prime Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to join the leadership team of a skilled nursing facility.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and Life Safety requirements, with previous healthcare or skilled nursing experience strongly .

What You'll Do

• Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department

• Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance programs

• Ensure the facility, equipment, systems, and grounds are properly maintained

• Perform routine inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns

• Maintain maintenance policies, procedures, records, and required documentation

• Coordinate maintenance needs with Nursing, Dietary, Environmental Services, and other departments

• Ensure storage areas, utility rooms, workspaces, and maintenance areas remain organized and compliant

• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers

• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by authorized agencies

• Assist with plans of correction for any maintenance or Life Safety deficiencies

• Monitor equipment, supplies, repairs, and maintenance-related expenses

• Ensure work orders and maintenance requests are completed timely and appropriately

• Work closely with the Administrator and facility leadership to maintain a safe and welcoming environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous maintenance experience required

• Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience strongly

• Knowledge of Life Safety regulations and healthcare facility requirements

• Preventative maintenance experience

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintenance needs

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with facility leadership

• Dependable, responsive, and comfortable taking a hands-on approach when needed
