Job summary

Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center in Minerva, OH is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance department and ensure building operations meet safety and quality standards. The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing, plus Fire and Life Safety knowledge.

You will supervise staff, develop policies, and coordinate with dietary, nursing, and activities teams.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience required.
• Hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing.
• Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety standards.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Monitor maintenance staff performance through observations across units and shifts; perform QA rounds.
• Directly supervise employees and enforce facility policies.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist staff in developing policies, equipment, and supplies.
• Review department policies annually and suggest revisions to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).

Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center is now seeking a full time Maintenance Director. The successful candidate will have well rounded experience with providing maintenance in a building.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Director:

• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Monitors the performance of maintenance staff by observing staff on all units, on all shifts and interviewing facility staff, residents, and families. Performs quality assurance functions, including regular compliance rounds.
• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).

Qualifications of Maintenance Director:

• One Year of Maintenance Experience
• Skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing
