Job summary

Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director to oversee the Maintenance Department and ensure safe, functional operations across the facility.

The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing, plus knowledge of Fire Life Safety and a valid driver’s license. The director will coordinate with Dietary, Nursing, and Activities to maintain high standards of care and environment.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience.
• Skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing.
• Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Monitor performance of maintenance staff across units, shifts, residents and families; perform quality assurance.
• Directly supervise employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities per facility policies.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist maintenance staff in development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review department policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually and recommend revisions to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).

Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center is now seeking a full time Maintenance Director. The successful candidate will have well rounded experience with providing maintenance in a building.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Director:

• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Monitors the performance of maintenance staff by observing staff on all units, on all shifts and interviewing facility staff, residents, and families. Performs quality assurance functions, including regular compliance rounds.
• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
