Job summary

Westbury Center of McDonough for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the daily and preventive maintenance program, working hands-on to inspect, repair, and maintain interior and exterior areas.

The role supervises maintenance staff, ensures timely service, and coordinates with operations on budgets and all mechanical systems, including HVAC and water heaters. On-call rotation is required and growth opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on an on-call rotation.
• Team Player with collaborative approach to maintenance staff.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a related setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the maintenance staff to ensure timely, competent service.
• Complete daily facility inspections and oversee preventive maintenance.
• Recommend repair or replacement of interior and exterior components.
• Understand and adhere to maintenance budgets.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment (HVAC, water heaters, kitchen equipment, etc.).
• Perform or supervise installations, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and related repairs.
• Control maintenance storage and mechanical rooms.

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Director manages the Facility's Daily and Preventive Maintenance Program by working hands-on within the Facility, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of interior/exterior areas. The Maintenance Director Supervises and supports the maintenance staff and ensures they provide efficient, timely, and competent maintenance service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Director:

• Supervise and support the maintenance staff and ensure they provide efficient, timely, and competent maintenance service.
• Complete daily facility inspections.
• Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and/or exterior
• Understand and adhere to Maintenance budgets.
• Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical equipment in the facility, including but not limited to water heaters, HVAC units, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Perform and/or supervise various maintenance functions such as installations, carpentry, furnace and air conditioner repairs, filter changing, coil cleaning, plumbing and appliance repairs, drywall and painting repairs, vinyl installation and repairs, minor roof repairs, etc.
• Control Maintenance storage and mechanical rooms.

Requirements of the Maintenance Director:

• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on an on-call rotation
• Team Player
• 1-2 years of experience
• SNF experience is preferred, not required
