Job summary

Castleton Health Care Center in Indianapolis, IN seeks a dependable Housekeeping & Maintenance Director to oversee daily housekeeping and facility maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

You will manage Life Safety Code compliance (NFPA), coordinate with nursing and admin teams, respond to emergencies, and foster a respectful, home-like atmosphere. Prior Life Safety experience and at least 1 year in healthcare housekeeping or maintenance preferred.

Qualifications

• MUST have working knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements.
• 1 year experience in housekeeping or maintenance in healthcare, commercial, or hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping and facility maintenance tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Follow a daily and weekly cleaning schedule to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Support Life Safety initiatives and ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with Life Safety Code requirements (NFPA).
• Respond to emergency maintenance or cleaning needs in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and administrative staff to meet environmental and safety goals.
• Foster a positive, respectful environment with residents, staff, and visitors.
