Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director for its Encinitas senior living community. The role involves supervising maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with health laws and OSHA regulations, and coordinating repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, experience with state health codes, and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks and safety programs at a premier assisted

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression and emergency systems.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with ability to multi-task.
• Able to perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, simple plumbing and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for a senior living community.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety codes and licensing requirements.
• Supervise staff and coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance and safety drills.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, fire irrigation and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
