Apple Rehab Colchester is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the safe, efficient operation of all building systems. You will supervise the maintenance staff, coordinate with outside vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and fire/disaster plans.
Responsibilities include scheduling, budget adherence, and maintaining documentation for preventive maintenance, testing, and reporting, while ensuring resident safety and quality care.

The Maintenance Director demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team. Ensures the safe, efficient and effective operations of all building systems. Supervises the Maintenance Assistant. Coordinates and monitors the activities of outside vendors, service and repairmen to insure the health and safety of residents, staff and visitors. Advises appropriate personnel of any potential interruptions or shutdowns. Ensures the compliance with facility policies regarding cleanliness, infection control, safety, security, hazardous communication program and fire and disaster plans. The Maintenance Director maintains documentation including routine and preventive maintenance schedules, fire alarm and sprinkler systems testing, generator testing and other documentation in compliance with all local, state and federal law. The Maintenance Director is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of the facility’s physical plant, equipment and grounds and its various systems including plumbing, electrical and structural. Plans work schedules for all assigned personnel. Attends department head meetings. Monitors supplies to ensure that adequate levels are maintained and stays with budgetary guidelines.
