Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls seeks an MFC Maintenance Department Manager to lead a 150-person maintenance organization across nuclear, radiological and non-nuclear facilities. You will champion safety, drive continuous improvement, and manage a budget while aligning with INL mission and the five management functions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 8–10+ years in maintenance leadership, US citizenship with ability to obtain a DOE clearance, and experience with DOE orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent per DOE Order 426; 4+ years in maintenance.
• 8–10+ years in a maintenance organization with two years leadership.
• Experience managing a maintenance department under DOE guidelines.
• Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently to achieve research outcomes.
• Lead efforts to implement the five functions of the management model: organizing, planning, staffing, leading, improving.
• Embed human performance improvement tools into maintenance work.
• Develop and manage a human capital plan and staff resources to meet department goals.
• Build multidisciplinary teams with shared goals and ownership of INL/MFC mission.
