Ivy Tech Community College in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Custodian to keep campus buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. You will maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas, and prepare rooms for classes and events.
The role requires a high school diploma and reliable, team-oriented work; duties include cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, and following safety standards and SDS procedures.
The Custodian helps keep campus buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This role supports daily operations by maintaining classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas to keep buildings as attractive as possible.
Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
Indoor campus buildings; occasional outdoor duties
Follow all Ivy Tech safety policies, established cleaning standards, and applicable OSHA guidelines. Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals using Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report unsafe conditions and incidents to a supervisor.
Monday-Friday; 24-28 hrs. per week Some evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency work may be required depending on campus need
