Maintenance Custodian Associate

A member of Sam's Club's team responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for members and associates across parking lots, restrooms, and floor areas. This role requires a positive attitude, willingness to work on your feet, and the ability to adapt quickly.

Base Pay Range

$16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Position Summary

We are looking for people who take pride in their work to join our team. As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well‑kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors, while maintaining a positive attitude throughout the shift.

Job Duties

• Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, and hazardous material handling.
• Clean all areas of the facility—including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles—using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Company Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintain appropriate levels of approved chemicals and supplies and place orders to replenish supplies when low.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for members and associates, performing necessary maintenance and responding promptly to incidents.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service by ensuring members have a great first and last impression.

Additional Compensation

Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Pay Details

Hourly wage range: $16.00 to $23.00*. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location.
