Job summary

Georgetowne Place in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Custodian/Maintenance Assistant to perform daily custodial tasks and basic repairs across the building, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues. The successful candidate will respond to resident work orders, maintain lighting, and support ongoing maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance preferred; basic repair skills desired.
• Familiar with minor repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily building custodial work including vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning common areas.
• Responds to resident requests via the work order program and repairs plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Maintains lighting in public areas and performs routine building maintenance including HVAC and kitchen equipment.
• Organizes storage and equipment areas; assists with painting projects as assigned.
