The incumbent will collaborate with management to set priorities, develop training plans, and manage department budgeting, ensuring adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree; may be credited for up to 4 years of experience or equivalent work experience
• 6 years commercial or military nuclear work experience; 2 years supervisory/management experience
• Desirable: SRO or certification on BWR or PWR

Responsibilities

• Represent department at Work Management “T” meetings and work with the management team to set priorities and allocate resources
• Assist in developing the departmental training plan and manage the department budget
• Meet with multi-discipline teams to develop schedules to reduce backlogs and support other departments; provide feedback to improve processes
• Observe and ensure compliance with procedures and policies; communicate technical information clearly; assess conditions and decide under pressure
• Perform First Line Supervisor duties and supervise personnel, address performance gaps, and drive to operational excellence
• Respond to Incident forms and attend MARC meetings; participate in the shared resources program; serve in the Emergency Response Organization
