Job summary

Mills Properties, a Missouri-based property management company, is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support residents by responding to service requests and ensuring timely completion of work orders. This role emphasizes teamwork and excellent service across their communities.

You will manage work orders, coordinate with technicians, and help maintain inventory and shop organization while upholding Mills values and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize service requests; assign to technicians.
• Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain positive communications with residents and provide courteous, timely responses.
• Communicate daily with property office on progress of service requests.
• Identify and report safety concerns or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist maintenance supervisor with maintaining inventory of materials and supplies.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
• Adhere to Mills policies and procedures.

About the role

We are looking for experienced maintenance professional to assist residents by responding to their needs and requests, ensuring work orders are completed on time and to satisfaction.

How you will be successful

• Receive all incoming service requests, create and prioritize work orders, assign to technicians, and monitor progress to ensure issues are handled timely and to the satisfaction of the resident
• Troubleshoot service requests by diagnosing and resolving, when possible, prior to issuing work order
• Maintain positive communications with residents and provide excellent service through courteous and timely response to resident needs and concerns
• Communicate daily with property office reporting on progress of service requests
• Identify and report to management any safety concerns, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs
• Assist maintenance supervisor with maintaining an adequate inventory of materials and supplies
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops

What you need

• High school diploma or GED; Trade school degree preferred
• Compelling communicator with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to maintain composure against obstacles; solving problems with keen insight
• Valid driver’s license
• Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment with proven track record of sharing ideas, providing encouragement, building on other’s ideas, giving due appreciation and bringing out the best in others
