JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate of this position will be the maintenance team’s point of contact responsible for coordinating the planning, general upkeep of equipment, plant facilities, and manage the Preventive Maintenance schedule. They will work in a flexographic printing plant performing maintenance duties themselves, or contracting service providers. The pay range for this position is between $21 - $29 per hour, based on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Document Preventive Maintenance (PMs)
  • Control and coordinate the PM schedule with operations and planning team
  • Work in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Schedule and coordinate with internal and external vendors for machine repairs, general building maintenance, cost improvement projects
  • Be the point of contact for part procurement
  • Schedule all related safety inspections for equipment in facility
  • Assist with maintenance projects as needed
  • Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • 2+ years in supporting maintenance or production roles
  • Coursework in mechanical drawing, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and blueprint reading, would be advantageous
  • Repair work experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Asset Essentials Preferred (CMMS)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
