Job summary

Linde Inc. in Geismar, LA is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to plan and execute major equipment maintenance and inspections for mechanical and rotating systems. You will support water treatment, vaporizers, gas generators, and piping, while aiding turnaround planning and cost estimation.

The role requires at least seven years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and proven communication and decision‑making skills. Occasional off-hours work and access to elevated equipment are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in plant engineering, turnaround execution, maintenance, and reliability.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication, decision quality, planning, facilitation, influencing and negotiating skills.
• Willingness to work off-hours and access elevated equipment when needed.
• Ability to make technical decisions and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of mechanical and rotating systems.
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and related process equipment.
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset concerns.
• Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance and support root cause analysis for major failures.
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities in EAM and uphold predictive programs.
• Work independently, escalate concerns when needed, and perform office and field work including off-hours availability and access to elevated equipment.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers

• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and other related process equipment
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset concerns
• Further, conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of plant equipment and support the root cause analysis program for major failures
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities in EAM and uphold the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program
• Also, work independently, make technical decisions, escalat technical concerns as needed, and perform office and field work, including off-hours availability and access to elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets
