Job summary

Linde Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Virginia Beach, VA to plan and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, and other rotating systems.

The role supports process equipment including water treatment and gas-fired vaporizers to ensure safe and reliable operations. You will use preventive and predictive maintenance knowledge, conduct root cause analyses, and contribute to turnaround planning while maintaining thorough documentation and working both in the field and in the

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Installation, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for mechanical and rotating systems.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform precision alignment on multitrain equipment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and robust documentation practices.
• Hands-on vibration analysis and dynamic balancing experience; familiarity with enterprise asset management systems.

Responsibilities

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections on compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and other rotating systems
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gasfired vaporizers, hydrogen generators, piping systems, and related process equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations
• In this role you will conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment while supporting the root cause analysis program for major failures
• Additionally, assist with turnaround planning, cost estimation, and the identification and resolution of chronic mechanical asset concerns
• Take responsibility for maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system and upholding the Oil and Vibrations Predictive Program
• Furthermore, perform both office and field work independently, escalating technical concerns and safely accessing elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, manlifts, or crane baskets

What makes you great

• You will bring a minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers
• In addition, you should demonstrate strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial mechanical and rotating systems
• Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform precision alignment on multitrain equipment while upholding high technical standards
• Communicate effectively, work independently, and lead or support teams with strong documentation and computer skills, including proficiency in maintenance management systems
• You are recognized for handson experience with vibration analysis and dynamic balancing, and familiarity with enterprise asset management systems; completion of a machinist or millwright apprenticeship is a plus
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights
• Available to work extended hours when business needs arise
• Furthermore, you demonstrate the flexibility to support weekend, holiday, and callin coverage
• Ensure a reliable and safetyfocused presence during critical operational periods

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $53,625 - $78,650
