Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a Plant Engineer to plan and execute major equipment installations, maintain rotating systems, and support process equipment across our facilities in Louisiana. The role emphasizes reliability, safe work practices, and proactive problem solving to minimize downtime.

You will lead turnaround planning, cost estimation, and root-cause analysis, while documenting activities in EAM and contributing to predictive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in plant engineering, turnaround execution, maintenance and reliability activities.
• Strong communication, decision quality, planning, facilitation, influencing and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions, with after-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and other related process equipment.
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset concerns.
• Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of plant equipment and support the root cause analysis program for major failures.
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities in EAM and uphold the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program.
• Work independently, make technical decisions, elevate technical concerns as needed, and perform office and field work, including off-hours availability and access to elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets.
